SGLI to VGLI conversion without health review

Apply for Veterans' Group Life Insurance within 240 days of leaving the military and you do not need to prove you are in good health. After 240 days, VA requires evidence of good health with your application.

The final deadline to apply for VGLI is 1 year and 120 days after leaving the military. Past the 240-day mark you must also submit evidence that you are in good health.

One-time VA dental care application

Veterans who served 90 days or more on active duty may qualify for one-time dental care if their dental treatment was not completed before discharge. VA requires the application within 180 days of discharge or release.

CHCBP health coverage enrollment
closes day 60
The Continued Health Care Benefit Program gives 18 to 36 months of temporary health coverage after TRICARE ends. Enrollment closes 60 days after you lose TRICARE eligibility. This clock counts from your separation date; if you have transitional coverage such as TAMP, your 60 days start when that coverage ends instead.

Military OneSource access ends

Military OneSource services, including non-medical counseling and tax support, remain available until 365 days past your end of tour of service, retirement date, or discharge date.
